Managing website redesign projects is basically like managing just about any type of project – with a few extra caveats that need to be considered. You need a good project management process in place. You will need to be logically thinking forward in terms of team management, task management, communication and overall best practices. The project manager will be closely managing a schedule and a budget – especially if the project is of any decent size and consideration. As with most projects, in order to save re-work and ensure proper requirements are being captured and designed to, the project manager and team will want to be dividing their time wisely between planning (rule of thumb - two-thirds) and execution (one-third) to actually save time and effort on the initiative.
